Who is Candice?
I’ve been practicing yoga for over 20 years and in 2015 I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Sun Power Yoga. Coincidentally ran by my first ever yoga teacher I had when I was 15 years old!
I’ve since taught in London, UK and then in Vancouver, Canada where I lived for almost six years. Having recently had my first child, I’ve made the move back to my home town of Leicester after many many years away and I’m now bringing yoga to my local community.
My love of yoga has seen me through so many stages of my life, through my turbulent teenage years, life in the fast lane in London, moving and living in a new country thousands of miles away from anything I knew and most recently helping me through pregnancy, birth and now being a mother. I truly believe yoga has helped me live a content life even through some of the hardest times and I love to share that knowledge with others.
I’ve also been witness to the profound effects yoga therapy can have on those living with special needs and disabilities. Having worked at The Special Yoga Centre in London for a number of years. Yoga goes way beyond keeping fit and flexible.
I absolutely feel that anyone and everyone would benefit from having a yoga practice in their lives. Whatever that may look like. It doesn't have to look fancy, you don’t have to bend into a pretzel and you don’t have to do it everyday to reap the benefits. There are many simple yogic practices that could make a huge difference in your life.
